Role Overview

As the Visual Merchandiser for Showrooms and Tradeshows, you will manage and process incoming showroom samples, organize and categorize them systematically, and prepare them for showroom appointments. You will act as the point of contact for all sample transactions with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will assist in trade show preparations. This position partners closely with Creative, Sales, Product Development, Marketing and Licensing teams to create immersive, buyer-ready environments that drive engagement, understanding and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Showroom Preparation: Prepare for showroom appointments, ensuring that all items are ready and presented to meet high standards. This includes the planning, setup and maintenance of all permanent and seasonal showrooms.
  • Sample Management: Manage and process incoming showroom samples. Systematically organize and categorize samples to ensure easy access and retrieval.
  • Point of Contact: Act as the main point of contact for all showroom sample transactions.
  • Product Line Sheets: Keep showroom product line sheets up to date, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Meeting Assistance: Assist in meeting preparations for sales accounts, including organizing and presenting samples as required.
  • Trade Show Preparation: Manage for trade show preparation, ensuring that all necessary items are available and properly prepared for presentation. Including booth builds, installs, breakdowns and vendor management. Examples of these shows are the New York Toy Fair, LA Show, and regional shows and sales meetings.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage and categorize samples efficiently.

  • Multitasking: Ability to switch between tasks efficiently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Comfort in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Quick Learner: Ability to quickly learn new tasks and processes with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years experience in a role with significant organizational responsibilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Physical & Workplace Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools and assisting with light assembly, breakdown, and organization of samples, displays, and storage areas.
  • Frequently walk throughout office spaces and storage/sample/show rooms.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, and move between locations throughout the workday.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle for local pick-ups, drop-offs, and trade show-related errands as needed.
  • Comfortable loading and unloading materials for showroom and trade show preparation.
