Role Overview
RMS International is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior 3D Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career designer who is passionate about bringing products to life through 3D modeling and prototyping.
A Junior 3D Designer supports the company’s 3D production workflow through hands-on execution. This role is focused on learning how ideas, specifications, and concepts are translated into accurate, production-ready 3D assets.
What You’ll Do
- Create clean, well-structured 3D models based on provided specifications and references
- Prepare models for 3D printing (FDM and SLA), including basic checks for scale, structure, and printability
- Prepares files suitable for 3D printing and internal prototyping
- Produce renderings for internal reviews, packaging design, and presentations
- Applies correct scale, proportions, and basic tolerances consistently
- Support 3D printing, basic printer maintenance, and post-processing
- Collaborate closely with designers across disciplines to support active projects
Skills We’re Looking For
- Working knowledge of at least one 3D modeling tool, preferably having skills in both NURBS and Polygonal modeling. Ex: (Rhino, Fusion, SolidWorks) and/or (Blender, Zbrush)
- An ability to understand specifications from other designers
- Basic understanding of scale, proportion, and physical feasibility
- Ability to follow established workflows and standards
- Clear communication in a collaborative, on-site environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in 3D Design or a related field
- 0–3 years of relevant role or industry experience
Nice to Have
- Experience using Keyshot (preferable), or another 3D rendering program
- Experience modeling for physical products
- Familiarity with materials or manufacturing concepts
- Interest in product design beyond execution
- An interest in the toy design field
