From concept to shelf, our Purchasing team plays a critical role in bringing toys to life. We work directly with international factories, collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Studio, and ensure our products meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

Role Overview

The Buyer owns purchasing execution for assigned categories, managing supplier relationships, cost negotiations, purchase orders, and timelines. This role is accountable for margin support, quality standards, and on-time delivery.

Buyers are strategic thinkers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems proactively.

Active passport required. This role includes approximately one international trip per year to China or Hong Kong to meet with factories and vendors. New hires can expect to join this trip after completing one year of employment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle for assigned categories
  • Communicate directly with overseas factories across time zones
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to support margin goals
  • Review and approve samples and artwork
  • Track production timelines and critical path milestones
  • Prepare margin analysis and purchasing reports
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Studio, and Product
  • Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities

Core Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of purchasing experience
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ownership mindset and accountability
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Microsoft Office required; Microsoft NAV preferred
  • Mandarin a plus (not required)
  • Passion for product development and toy innovation
  • Active passport required
